Recently, I’ve been working late nights and waking up early in the morning only to find more work waiting for me. On top of that, I’ve been working on a new template for DS, which I’ve now filed away for later use. This template isn’t all that bad, as I realized, and the one small change I want to make might as well be made after asking you, the readers, about it (see the bottom of this post).
Apart from work, I’ve been meeting up with a few friends back from high school, it was fun while it lasted but now it’s back to my non-existent schedule. It’s not that I can’t relax, it’s that I want to but don’t. I don’t even know why that is so, I could really just drop everything and go to sleep right now - instead, I’m probably going to watch a movie.
Construction work going on nearby…every time the door opens I get to hear wonderful migraine-inducing sounds. Not that being this tired helps. One thing I’ve learned in the past few weeks is that WinSCP is definitely not one of the best tools around for FTP uploads and editing. It gets disconnected every four minutes (fact) and it’s killing me (not a fact).
As an upside, I finally got around to making the blog more readable (according to me). I’m trying to upload an image to show you what I was thinking of doing to the blog so I could get your opinion about it, but guess what I’m using - WinSCP. Five disconnects later and it’s at 95%.
35 years later:
Okay, so it’s finally done. Here we go:

Due to a new development, namely: the new background, and the fact that the old background now conveniently adorns the link gallery; I am no longer considering the template in the above post as a candidate. In fact, I’m no longer considering any change at all.
Props to anyone who helped me, including Zhu, Sakshi & my sister (Nikita).
“This is awesome!”

lol, I was going to put your name in there, but that was only for the people who helped me with the template…
Sorry, maybe I should make a “credits” page…not a bad idea actually. But I’ll do it when I’m not so tired.
Meanwhile I hope a personal thank you will suffice.

No it will not. It has to be a very public thank you.
In fact now toh you forget it.
When you publish your first book (and there’s no ifs and buts about it), you better put in a very special thank you there on the first page (Where the authors write the dedication. Eg- Where JKR wrote “To Neil, Jessica, and someonesomeone, who make my world magical”)
Except that you have to write “To Anwita the Great, who survived the agony of ramblings about WGN, who helped me with Simon and the gang, who laboured over my templates, and who’s the nicest person alive”

I don’t think that would make much sense on a book for the public in general…oh well, gotta keep that one in mind.
I’m not even sure what I’ll write in that book…maybe I’ll name it “Where and what, again? - A Smash-Hit Stale”. Totally random.

Lots of books for the public don’t make sense to the public.
Aah let it be.
My anger has abated.
You’re welcome

Wow … nice design, RG!
And by the way, I’m still miffed about the fact that I had no idea that this blog existed, thanks to you

RG Said:
Yep, sure am.
Though I might change the smileys to something more…appealing?
