I’ve been freelancing for the past few weeks - it’s a fun, good way to earn money. What is freelancing, you ask? Well, in my dictionary it’s making web apps and designing things for people in exchange for payment. It isn’t very hard to do and takes up my free time nicely, leaving over a big surplus to laze around in. The only real problem is that it’s harder to find the job than it is to do it, making this a very irregular means of income.
Madras Gin, as you couldn’t possibly have guessed, is a freelancing company that was started last year by some of my friends. Madras Gin is an anagram of “RG is da man”, and for someĀ reason was adopted as our design company’s name. Nevertheless, we never really worked together on a project and the company was pretty much just the name floating around - but there are plans to revive it during the summer vacations wherein most of us are free. Let’s see where that goes, it’s probably best to expect it all to end in tears.
On another note, surprise! I’m actually going to talk about what I did yesterday - killed a bunch of mosquitoes and went roach spotting. I dunno why but Delhi in the summer with occasional showers seems to be the best place to do this. Hopefully they will all OD on the pesticide they seem immune to and finally die on a drugless high. Assuming, of course, that the ‘cide has any kind of effect on them at all.
Then there’s my handy Nintendo DS, which I finally pulled out of it’s non-existant-yet-dusty-as-hell holster, in order to play some Pokemon Diamond. I’m as sick of the Pokemon games as the guy next door, but I just can’t help it when I’m this bored. Plus, it’s not all that bad once you get used to cute little creatures beating the shit out of your own pets.
Power cuts don’t affect me so much now, what with downgrading (or is it an upgrade?) to handheld consoles and a laptop. The only inconvenience they cause is that they take away my internet connection as the router isn’t powered by the inverter. And yeah, I’m sorry if there were too many difficult words in the last couple sentences; Also for starting this one with a conjunction.
I think I’ve written enough for now, if I write any more I might run out of things to write tomorrow. Since I’m doing so little over the summer I need to splay it out evenly in my posts to make myself feel better.
Why do I sign off? I don’t think I need to…

Freelance is something I want to get into (other field than yours probably though). I need a flexible schedule and I like the challenge.
How do you like your experience so far?
Noticed you added me to your blogroll… I shall do the same

I’m pretty satisfied with my experience, I had nothing to do over the summer and now I’m making easy money
Of course, it depends on how easy your job is for you. However, as I said it’s kind of hard finding work, but that too depends on your field.
I need to go through my old blogroll and pick the blogs that are not dead…and thanks for adding me to yours!
